What to Expect
We invite you to join us for worship every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. After the service, we hope you'll stay for coffee, tea, and cookies in the Fellowship Hall—a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and enjoy fellowship together.
At Palisades Presbyterian Church, you'll find a warm and welcoming community where you can come just as you are. On Sundays, we're "San Diego fancy," which means everything from jeans and a T-shirt to your Sunday best is perfectly appropriate. We have plenty of convenient parking, offer assisted listening devices for anyone who would benefit from them, and our sanctuary is comfortable year-round thanks to our updated heating and air-conditioning systems.
Our worship service lasts just over an hour and blends the richness of Christian tradition with a fresh and relevant expression of faith. You'll experience a variety of musical styles, including our praise band, choir, and beloved hymns.
Families and Children
Children are an important part of our church family.
First Sunday of the month: We celebrate Family Worship, where children remain in the service and participate alongside the congregation.
All other Sundays: Following the offering, children in Kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to Sunday School.
Nursery: Children Kindergarten age and younger are welcome in our nursery, which is available before the service begins.
Middle and High School Students: Students are encouraged to remain in worship with the congregation.
Families are always welcome to worship together. If your children stay in the service, we provide a KidsCart filled with books and quiet activities to help them engage throughout worship.
Communion
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. All who trust in Jesus Christ are welcome to receive Communion, regardless of denomination or church membership.
Children are also welcome to participate in Communion or may come forward to receive a blessing.
