LOGOS Program

Palisades Presbyterian Church is proud to be celebrating 28 years of LOGOS, a program that year after year has continued to nurture our youth in preschool through high school with Christian relationships, and helped them to grow as Disciples of Christ in a fun-filled, camp-like atmosphere. Each week at LOGOS, young people rotate through a four-part structure: Bible Study, Recreation/Play time, Family Time (dinner) and worship/choir. The youth experience these four parts a little differently, based on the appropriateness for their age group.

At LOGOS, we believe that faith is "more caught than taught" so we seek to cultivate these Christian relationships in an enthusiastic and spiritual setting every Tuesday night. Dozens of parents and other adults are needed to volunteer each week to make this happen. Parent participation, in some form, is one of the requirements for enrollment. This makes LOGOS more of a family or church-wide program, and not just a "drop-off youth group."

At Palisades, we also believe firmly in a "fifth" part of LOGOS: Participating in Sunday morning worship. All LOGOS youth will be regularly scheduled to sing as a choir, or participate in other leadership roles in worship several times throughout the year. Worship participation strengthens the commitment of young people and their families to worship, and adds a spark of liveliness to the worship services!

The LOGOS Program requires the active support and participation of parents, along with that of the pastor. It is supported by tuition payments made by the parents. Some scholarships are available where they are needed.
